Sunday my mother in law said she felt naked!  She had left the house without earrings on.  Often times those little things we do like put on earrings, wear our wedding ring, and gloss up our lips make us feel finished.

Pics from our Pampered Princess Party

A few posts ago (Jesus Blessed Me), I told you about the Pampered Princess party that we had at church.  So many wonderful women donated their time and energies to pamper other women and give a good dose of the love of Jesus!

We had:

• A chocolate fountain
• Plenty of deserts
• Facials
• Manis & Pedis
• Hand waxing therapy
• Massages
• Make up 
• and I did foot scrubs

It was so much fun!  God blessed me so much as I scrubbed ladies' (and girls') feet with sugar and blessed them with the washing of the Word of God.

39DollarGlasses.com Review ~ How to order glasses online

Updated February 11, 2017:  We have liked 39Dollar glasses so much that we just bought our third pair.  I purchased a second pair of the gold ones above and we just purchased a second pair of something similar to the black ones above.  Very pleased.

Let me just start off by saying that I couldn't be happier with my glasses!  I have a pair of 39DollarGlasses and so does my husband.  This review is for my husband's glasses but I will include some info on mine as well.


The quality and stability of both pairs of glasses are high end.  These glasses are every bit as nice as the pricier "designer" glasses at the eye doctor.  Actually, when my husband went to get his prescription the pair that he liked was one of the designer pairs that cost the most.  (What can I say? We like nice things!)

When my husband picked out his glasses from 39DollarGlasses, he already knew the style that he liked.  This DOES help when ordering glasses online.  My suggestion is to go to a local "discount" store that sells glasses and take a look.  Try a few pairs on for size and style and see which style you like the best.

The size of the glasses is usually on the inside of one of the arms.  See those little numbers? They mean something! Who knew? I have a pair of glasses on that say: 52 17 138.  That is not a lottery number (unless you win and share with me) it is the "size" of my glasses.

You will also need to know your prescription.  There are several different numbers on it that are important.  My prescription is from a few years ago but my eyes haven't changed since I was 17!  Praise the Lord!  Of course regular visits to the eye doctor are important.  I think they like to say every 2 years is how often to go.

Another thing that the website walks you through is measuring the distance between your pupils.  ...weird.. I know but necessary.  I have a clear ruler that I got at an office supply store and that helped a lot.  Of course, you can use any ruler with milometers.  I was able to hold the ruler up to my husbands eyes and SEE what his measurements were.  Easy peasy!

So, what do you need in order to successfully order a pair of glasses online?

• You need to surf around 39DollarGlasses.com
• You will need to know what your prescription is.
• Have a good idea of what style and material you like (plastic or metal?)
• Get your numbers off of a pair of glasses that fit you well. Make sure they don't fall off your head or squish it!
• You will need a ruler to measure the distance between your pupils (from the center of each).

I am very happy with both pairs of our glasses from 39DollarGlasses.  I recommend this company on a regular basis to the people at our church. $40 for a pair of quality glasses is a fair deal.

Influence ~ Wife to Husband

A wife has a LOT of influence on her husband and vice versa. There are numerous stories in the Bible which are great examples of that. Adam and Eve, Sampson and Delilah, King Solomon and his...700 wives, etc.  She can influence him for good or for evil.

As women of God, we need to continually check our motives.  A great way to make sure we aren't doing wrong is to practice the "think before you speak" and "be slow to speak quick to listen."

In our conscious mind, we wouldn't dare do evil to our husbands!  We love them! But often times, without realizing it, we tear down with our mouths and silent actions.

A Better Way

“Her husband has full confidence in her. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life” (Proverbs 31:11-12)


Here is a story that I found. It's a humorous way to show how much influence a wife has.


One sunny afternoon, a mayor and his wife were taking a stroll down the main street of their city, while he proudly pointed out his accomplishments during his time in office. Then they walked by a construction site and a man called out and greeted his wife. He had been a high school boyfriend.

The mayor said to his wife, “See, dear, if you had married him, you would be a wife of a laborer.

She answered sweetly, “If I had married him,he would be the mayor.”

Over the years, my husband has guided me into being a more confident, stable woman of God.  And I have encouraged him as he has stepped up into his call of pastor.

It's a give - give... a win - win!

Bless him!  Encourage him!  Be the helper that 

God has created you to be.

Jesus Blessed ME!

Last night, our church had a party for ladies.  There were free manis, pedis, facials, hand wax therapy, deserts... and even a chocolate fountain!  I had the privilege of washing women's feet alllll (almost 4 hours) night, just like Jesus.  Amen!  

I made a sugar scrub out of sugar, olive oil, and peppermint essential oil.  I started the session by reading Scripture and washing them with the Word.  As I scrubbed their rough, calloused, mama feet, I read more Scripture and blessed them.

This was one of the most humble positions I've ever been in.  One woman cried the whole time.  It was a moment, not between she and I, but between she and Jesus.  Another woman knew that she just needed to be blessed... even her feet.  Amen!

Little girls flocked to me.  They just wanted to be in the room and hang out as I washed these women's feet and washed their spirit with the Word of God.  Were they attracted to me?  No... they knew where the anointing of Jesus was and they wanted to BASK in it!  Hallelujah!

Not only did the little girls bask in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, they wanted their feet washed as well.  Blessings be to them!  I had the ultimate privilege of washing these little girl's feet for the first time in their lives.  I blessed them in Jesus' name.

God is so good.  He blesses me over and over.  I am so happy to share His blessings with others.

Several times a year, our whole church goes on a fast. (That's amazing isn't it?) MANY people have been supernaturally healed through fasting.  About a year ago, a man and his wife chose to do a total food fast.  (This takes a lot of special care.) During their fast, they started putting apple cider vinegar in their water bottles and drink it.  The man noticed that his heartburn had gone away, so he quit taking his heartburn medicine.

The man had been on heartburn medicine for many, many years.  He figured it up and discovered he had spent over $9,000 on medicine over the years.

Praise God!  He doesn't have to take it anymore.  He is healed!
