Friday's Fave Five

I don't know what has gotten into me!  I have the meme bug this week!  (You can find this one here.)

1.  I found a new Bible that I can't wait to order!  You can see it here:  The Scriptures.  (More on that at the bottom.)

2.  Spring is finally here!

3.  I went on a "date" with my husband yesterday.  Ok, it was really grocery shopping and out to eat but we were alone, alright?!!!  That counts as a mini-date in my book.

4.  I went out with a friend on Monday.  What did we do?  Thrift shopping, of course!  (I'm kind of excited because I am going out for lunch with another friend next Monday.)

5.  I was revived!  What's better than a spa day?
Psalm 119:
25 God's Word revives
28 God's Word strengthens
40 His righteousness revives
50 His Word revives
76 His lovingkindness comforts
88 His lovingkindness revives
93 God's commands revive
149 His ordinances revive
154 His  Word revives
156 His ordinances revive
159 His lovingkindness revives

BE REVIVED!

The Scriptures:  "This is a literal translation of the Bible in English. This translation differs significantly from most common English translations in that it has restored the original book order of the Hebrew Scriptures, the Tanakh, and restored the Name of the Most High, YHWH / throughout. The Scriptures is a literal translation of the Tanakh and the Messianic Scriptures."

Five Question Friday (say that 10 times fast!)

1. What was the first car you owned?  My parents bought my first car for me!  It was a gold Plymoth Horizon.  This little thing buzzed around like a little bee and was easy to CRASH!  (Mine didn't have tinted windows.)

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?  Well, anything that has anything to do with s_x.  It is soooo embarrassing to be humming along with a song (from the 80's) in the store and then realize that it is a song about s_x.  That is so gross, to be shopping and listening to songs like that and in mixed company!

3. Have you ever had stitches?  Are you kidding?  My nickname is Miss Grace!  When I was about 4, I bumped my head  and got stitches on my eyebrow.  That makes it kinda hard to wax or pluck and make everything even.

4. What was your first job?  Seriously?  I was a secretary for a lawyer when I was in high school.  The other
lawyer in the office smoked a cigar and that just made me sick.  After a while, I couldn't stand it any longer and had to quit.
5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?  Grover.  He's just sweet!  P.S.  I don't watch Sesame Street anymore.

Random Dozen ~ To get me back into the swing of things!

1. Ever had any run-ins with the "library police?"   Oh yes!  I'm a homeschooler, remember?  I am on their most wanted list as we speak.  I returned some books late and they are saying that one of them is still out.  They did this to me before and I had to go hunt the book down on their shelf and show it to them!

2. Do you have a special organizational plan and place for wrapping paper, gift bags, etc., or do you just purchase whatever you need as you give gifts?  Do I...  The Queen of Organizing?  Absolutely!  I keep a huge gift bag full of smaller gift bags, bows and boxes.  I usually put it in a closet or the basement and then pull it out when I need to give a gift.

3. Have you ever been in (first-hand witness) a natural disaster?  Only if that includes ants.  You know, when someone destroys their ant hill and they all scurry around.  It's probably a natural disaster to them right?

4. What's your favorite Barry Manilow song?  No offence but... EEWWWW.

5. What's the best costume you've ever worn?  My prom dress?

6. Which do you use more often, the dictionary or the thesaurus?  I love the thesaurus!  I don't own one (anyone want to donate?) so I guess I use the dictionary more.  I'm a stinky speller.

7. What's your favorite breakfast food?  I like eggs over medium with grits!  I think I have some "southern" in my blood.

8. Have you ever purchased anything from an infomercial?  I don't but my Mom sure does.  She's always buying something from the TV and giving me the "free" one that comes with it.

I have:
The Germ Guardian

The Ninja Chopper

The Scunci Steamer

The Swivel Sweeper
Oxi Clean

That's all I can think of right now.  And guess what?  I like all of these products!  (Calling all infomercial product producers, I'll test your product for you and write a review!)

9. Have you ever crawled through a window?  Uhhh, more times than I care to admit!  I was a teenager who's friends would only come out to play in the dark!  JK

10. Do you believe in love at first sight?  I believe that it used to be but people are just a little too weird these days!  Just kiddin.

11. How man pairs of jeans do you own?  Too many to count.  They are all in boxes marked "TOO SMALL"!  You know, for incase I lose weight someday!  I have 3 pairs that fit.

12. If someone were going to bake a cake to honor/represent you, what would it be? (Think creatively, like Duff and Crew on "Ace of Cakes.")  It may look something like this:

Pink roses, lace and pearls.

Resurrection Sunday - Feast of Firstfruits!

My Mom and I
at church this morning.  (I'm on the right.)

Praise our God!  Yeshua is risen!  Yeshua the Firstfruit!

The Feast of Firstfruits has been celebrated for thousands of years and we Christians have the priviledge of celebrating it today!  (Also see Biblical Holidays

I feel honored to have celebrated Passover this last week, Feast of Unleavened Bread yesterday and Firstfruits today.  (Also see Passover

If you are a Christian and you celebrate "Easter", I want to encourage you to look into where that "tradition" originated.  It is so fulfilling celebrating what Yeshua, our Jesus, celebrated AND fulfilled!!

Double Espresso (on right) and his friend.

...and yes, they are as innocent as they look!

Oh, I'm preachin it today! Be blessed!

I am abundantly blessed!!!

I came across these verses today and they just blessed my socks off.  I thought that my blog readers may need to have their socks blessed off today too!

Psalm 115:9-15

O Israel, trust in the LORD;

He is their help and their shield.
(Psalm 5:12b - You surround him with favor as with a shield.  Now you're talkin!)

house of Aaron, trust in the LORD;

He is their help and their shield.

You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD;

He is their help and their shield.

The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us;

He will bless the house of Israel;

He will bless the house of Aaron.

He will bless those who fear the LORD,
(Is that you?)

The small together with the great.

May the LORD give you increase,

You and your children.

May you be blessed of the LORD,

Maker of heaven and earth.

(I receive this in Yeshua's (Jesus') name!!!!  Do you?

Thank you Yeshua for going to the cross for me.  Thank you for raising from the dead and giving us victory over death and hades!)
