What privileged lives these birds live! 

Strolling on the beach at this beautiful resort with their NOSES up in the air! They're all like...... hmmf... where shall we sit?  

They are totally oblivious to the humans in the background. Obviously, they have become accustomed to having them around.  Could the humans capture or harm the birds?  Absolutely!  Do the birds care?  Absolutely not!

We humans become that way at times.  Sometimes the enemy tries to sneak around but other times he is just hanging out in the background of our lives and we get accustomed to having him there.  

Be aware of your surroundings!  Make sure that when you are choosing a place to sit, the enemy isn't hanging around in the background.

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

How to be successful

How can I be successful?  The world has plenty of recipes for success which are changing by the minute. God's recipe is the one that lasts with no preservatives added!

Don't let the world define success for you.  God's recipe for SUCCESS is in His word. Anything else is a counterfeit.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

They see the glory coming through, they look and take notice...

HOPE

To hope, doesn't mean to "wish." 

With God, it's not a lottery system. It's a faith system. Faith that He will do what He said (it's all in the Bible).

Definitions:
Hope (Old Testament): to wait, be patient

Hope (New Testament): to anticipate, usually with pleasure, expectation or confidence: faith, hope

I expect God to do what He said He would do. After all, He doesn't lie!

I anticipate, with pleasure, for Him to work on my behalf! Why? Because He loves me.

Hallelujah! Have a beautiful, hope-filled day!

I had a dream last night. I was sitting in a restaurant with an old friend at a table with some people who were strangers.

Two of the people in that group were swearing like crazy. One man. One woman.

As my friend and I were trying to catch up after not seeing each other for years, we couldn't help but hear the constant swearing.

I finally couldn't take it anymore and told the people that my friend and I are leaving because every word of what they were saying was going into my spirit and piercing it.

To my surprise and to theirs, the two people looked at each other and admitted that they didn't like it either! They admitted that they were each swearing because the other one swears.

Then, very graciously, they decided to leave the table so I wouldn't have to.

All of this to say, I woke up and had an even stronger awareness that the words I say and THINK (the meditation of my heart) are very important and impact my spirit. My words and thoughts need to be acceptable to my spirit and the Holy Spirit.

Does God forgive ALL your sin?

Not everyone has lived a pure life.  Some actually have sin in their past...present...future! I, for one, am thankful that the Bible says that God forgives ALL my sin.  He washed it ALL away!

ALL... that is an interesting word.  Wonder what it means?  I looked it up.  All means... all!  Praise the LORD for that!

One benefit of the LORD (Yahweh) is the forgiveness or pardoning of ALL your iniquities!  There's that word again... ALL.  I am so glad He didn't go through my sin list and pick out SOME to pardon.

That was Psalm 103:1-3"A." What does the rest of verse 3 say?
"Who heals all your diseases"

There's that word again!  ALL.  ALL.  ALL.  

The Bible says that the LORD (Yahweh) heals ALL your diseases!  Hallelujah!  God is sooooo good.  

...but what does the Word say?
ALL.

I don't mean to shock you here but, some people deny the healing power of the LORD.  Some people actually think that God doesn't heal anymore.

I wonder why they pray and ask God to fix their symptoms if they don't believe in healing?

I also wonder why they go to the doctor and get meds if they don't believe in healing?  Isn't that a transfer of faith? Instead of "I believe God is healer" it is transferred to "I believe this doctor / meds will make me well."  So...  they DO believe in healing....from the doctor / meds!  

Their faith is in the wrong thing. 

I've seen people put their faith in Yahweh the healer and be healed.  I've also seen people put their faith in their doctor / meds and be healed.  ...interesting.

My faith is in the LORD.  The Word says over and over that He is the healer of my body.

Don't you love a revelation from God?

Here is the thought process of my revelation:

I was getting up from my deck table and I saw a little booklet called "Wealth Transfer." I thought to myself, as I often do, "God is soooo good..."

Then, it happened.
God is good
Things that destroy people are bad
Sickness destroys people, and sometimes... it kills them
Our bodies are "the temple of the Holy Spirit" (1 Corinthians 6:19)
Did God EVER destroy His own temple?
I don't thinks so.... I'll go look.

Google:
Who destroyed God's temples in Jerusalem?

Wikipedia says, "The First Temple was totally destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE when they sacked the city."

Who destroyed the second temple? "It was later destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE during the Siege of Jerusalem."

Ok, so even according to a secular source, Wekipedia, God didn't destroy His own temple.  !!!Imagine that!!!

So who destroys God's temple? 

This is what Jesus says, "Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." John 2:19 Who was He talking to? God? NO.

Jesus, of course, was taking about His body, calling it a "temple that will raise again."

So, my conclusion in my revelation is:
God NEVER destroyed His own temples.
Our bodies are temples of God.
Sickness and disease are destroyers.
God doesn't make people sick because it destroys His temple!
God only does good.

Therefore, God doesn't make people sick.  He only raises their bodies or temples back up. 

God is good!!

Pssstt!

That's the extent of what I can say right now.  "Psssssttt!"  I'll tell you why in a minute.

I am all into the healing message of the Bible.  I love how the Bible never separates healing from salvation.  They are connected! Where's my proof?  I'll give you one verse:

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

That word "salvation" in the Greek is: soteria.  Soteria means: rescue, safety, deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.  

Soteria!  Memorize that.

Soteria is used 44 times in the New Testament. From what I can tell, that is every time the word salvation is used.

Ok so what does that verse REALLY say?

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the rescue, safety, health, and salvation of everyone who believes!!  Hallelujah!

So, I have to type "hallelujah" because my voice has decided not to come out.  I am continuing to say whisper that I AM HEALED because I am SAVED!  I am not ashamed of the gospel and I DO believe!

And you know, this health issue could have gotten me down.  I could be down and out with all kinds of things that go along with a sore throat, etc. but I AM HEALED!  I feel fine.  My voice will come back and my nose WILL stop running.

When I need someone's attention, namely my husband, I just "psssst" him.  It's the loudest thing I can say! I don't think he likes it very much.  LOL!  or LOQ (laugh out quietly)

Don't Blame Me!

Have you ever heard or said, "Don't blame me!" when someone accused you of something you didn't do?  I've said that countless times.  Or how many times have you heard a child say, "It's not my fault?"

Isn't it refreshing to know that even though it wasn't Jesus' fault, he went to the cross for us?  Wow, now that's love.  I am so thankful He didn't say, "It's not my fault!"

So often, God gets a bad wrap, even from His children... His followers... His well meaning disciples.  God gets the blame but He doesn't scream, "Don't blame me!"  Time after time I've heard people, both Christians and people who don't know Him yet, say that it's God's fault that something terrible happened to them.

Maybe they got sick, maybe their child got hurt, or maybe even someone died and who got the blame? My precious, loving Savior.

Savior... we call Him Savior because He.... saves.  Sing it now, "Jesus saves... Jesus saves...!"

Here's a familiar verse:
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

Who said that?  An angel came from Heaven and that is what he said to the shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus, our Savior.  Hallelujah!

Here is the dictionary definition of the word "Savior."

Synonyms saviour - redeemer - rescuer - saver Oh wow!  That is beautiful.  But it get's even MORE beautiful!! If you look that English word "Savior" up (from Luke 11:2) in the Strong's Concordance, this is the definition of the word: G4990 σωτήρ sōtēr so-tare' From G4982; a deliverer, that is, God or Christ: - saviour. Hallelujah!  Can it get any better?  Yes it can! Let's look at the word that "soter" came from .  You see where it says, "From G4982?"  That is the root word.   G4982 σώζω sōzō sode'-zo From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. I told you it gets even better!  Did you read that?  An angel sent from Heaven said that a Savior (a redeemer, rescuer, saver, one who saves, delivers, protects, heals, preserves, saves, does well, and make whole) is born and He is Christ our Lord! Hallelujah!  I'm high on the Spirit now!  Stirred up!  Jesus is the One who saves us. Jesus is the One who delivers us. Jesus is the One who protects us. Jesus is the One who heals us. Jesus is the One who preserves us. Jesus is the One who does well to us. Jesus is the One who makes us whole. If Jesus is our healer, deliverer, protector... Savior (He is mine), who does get the blame?

Are you a doubter? Don't believe in miracles or healing?

Hey you!  Yeah, I'm talking to the one who doubts.  I have a message to you from God.  I stopped what I was doing to come and write this.  I will obey.

You don't believe in miracles?
You don't believe that God still miraculously heals?
You say that He only heals Spiritually?

I'm here to confront some of your doubts with the Word of God.

Psalm 103:1-5 (bold mine)
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
² Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
³ Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
⁴ Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
⁵ Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

One of the benefits of the Lord is that He forgives ALL sins. (That is Spiritual.)
Another benefit is that He heals ALL diseases. (That's physical.)

So you say, if healings and miracles still happen today, why aren't people going into the hospitals and healing the sick?  Why do we even have hospitals? (I used to think these same thoughts.)

Mark 6:5And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.

Matthew 13:58And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.

Jesus, entered His home town and couldn't do miracles.  He entered His home town and could only heal a few sick.  ONLY?  Yes, only.  If we were only healing a few sick, we'd be ecstatic! He couldn't!  Not "wouldn't!"  The Word says that Jesus, the maker of the universe "couldn't!"  

So why could He "only heal a few sick people?" It's right there in the Word, because of their unbelief... lack of faith.

So, why didn't Jesus Himself go into the hospitals and heal all of the sick?  Actually, He healed many, many, who came to Him.  THEY CAME TO HIM. They desired healing.  They had faith.  How many times did He say to them, "your faith has healed you"?  What has healed them?  Their faith.  It's in the Word. Look for yourself.

I know many people who refuse to believe that their faith has anything to do with their own healing. And guess what?  They walk around sick.  They aren't healed. 

Again I say, what does the Word say?

Not only do these same people walk around sick, but they go to the doctor, get medicine, and surgery!  Now tell me, who did they put their faith in?  They had faith!  It was put in the wrong person/thing.  

Again I say, what does the Word say?

James 5:14Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

Are you sick?  What does the Word say to do?  It's right there in James 5:14. 

I'll tell you what it doesn't say:

It doesn't say walk around proclaiming and bragging about your illness to everyone. People everywhere saying, "I have cancer, I have a cold, I have this disease, I have that virus..."  You have what you say! (Another topic for another day.)

Not once do I hear these same people saying, "I am healed.  God has healed me; it's already done!  I have faith that God is healing me!"

These same people take a boat load of pills, sign up for surgery, make numerous visits to the doctor and don't take James 5:14 into account.  It doesn't say to go to the doctor first.  It doesn't say to pump man made chemicals that mask the symptoms into your body.  

What does the Word say?

Does it say that it is an option to call on the elders for prayer? Does it say to doubt when receiving elder prayer?  Does it say that the prayer MAY restore the one who is sick?  

What else does the Word say?

The last part of that verse says AND... and is a conjunction.  Remember conjunction junction what's your function?  It connects that last part of the sentence with the preceding part.

And what?  And, if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.  

What?  Sins are connected with sickness and disease?  

What does the Word say?

You MUST go to the elders for prayer.

The prayer offered in faith WILL restore the one who is sick.

His sins will be forgiven.

I love looking at the Hebrew of Bible verses!

Digging in is what I call it!  I get out my e-sword.net or my app "KJV+" and start digging to see what the Hebrew and Greek words are in the Bible verses/chapters/books that I am reading.

I can't sit through a sermon or do my daily reading without digging. It's a passion; it inspires me.  I love it!

Today, I am "dissecting" Proverbs 24:304

By wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
And by knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.

Wisdom: skillful, wisdom, wisely, wit.
House: a house (especially family, etc.)
Built: to build (literally and figuratively): - (begin to) build (-er), obtain children, make, repair, set (up), surely
Understanding: intelligence; by implication an argument; by extension caprice: - discretion, reason, skilfulness, understanding, wisdom.
Established: to be erect, to set up, in a great variety of applications, whether literal (establish, fix, prepare, apply), or figurative (appoint, render sure, proper or prosperous): direct, faithfulness, fashion, ordain, order, perfect, (make) preparation, prepare, be stable...

Knowledge means: ...knowledge! but comes from a word that means: observation, care, recognition; and causatively instruction, designation, punishment, etc. appoint, be aware, declare, be diligent, (can, cause to) discern, discover, instruct, (cause to, let, make) know, teach, (can) tell, understand, have [understanding], etc.
Rooms (mean rooms)
Filled: be full of, accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, fill, fulfil, [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), replenish, satisfy,  + have wholly...etc.
All: properly the whole; hence all, any or every. (Imagine that! All means all!)
Precious: valuable, brightness, costly, excellent, fat, honourable women, precious, reputation.
Pleasant: delightful, pleasant (-ure), sweet.
Riches: wealth; by implication enough: - enough, + for nought, riches, substance, wealth.

Wow!  That puts a very simple Bible verse under a microscope where you can see so much more!

Hallelujah!  I receive Your Word Lord.  Thank You Jesus!  Your Word is truth and You are the Word!

Practicing Hospitality ~ What is it anyway?

I've been thinking about the concept of practicing hospitality.  What is Biblical hospitality?

Over the years I've come across many people who try to put hospitality in a box.  Basically, the message that they send is that hospitality is having people over to your home or church and serving them.  I always picture Martha doting around at a gathering, making sure everyone's needs are taken care of.

But didn't Jesus say that Mary chose the "good part", to "listen to His word?"  I picture myself more like Mary.  At church functions, the last thing I want to do is dote around serving food and cleaning it all up.  Actually, I feel lost in that area.  It's just not me.  Do we need Martha's? Absolutely!  Nothing (in the physical) would get done if we only had Mary's.  Everyone would have to grab a sub sandwich!

I am a Mary.  I sit at the feet of Jesus (the Word) and absorb all I can. When it comes time to serve others, I have a tendency to minister in my gifting and that is exhortation.  (You can read about the spiritual gift of exhortation here.)  Most times what happens is we have an event/dinner and I end up spending 80% of my time ministering to one person out of God's Word.  The other 20% of my time is practicing the Biblical meaning of hospitality. So what is that?

Hospitality is much broader than what people give it credit for.  The Greek word for hospitality is philoxenos and it means "hospitable, generous to guests."  It comes from two different words.  The first one is philos which means "friendly." The second is xenos which means "a foreigner or stranger."  Let's put them together: being friendly and or generous to guests and or strangers.

So, the Biblical definition of being hospitable is being generous and friendly to guests particularly strangers. That may or may not include food. That may or may not be in your home.  That may or may not be in your church.  That may or may not be in the bathroom at WalMart!

My husband is always cracking up at me.  It never fails when I go into a public restroom I always come out with a "friend."  It not a real "friend" but someone I was able to encourage, minister to, or talk to in some way.  Many times over people have unloaded some issue from their lives into my listening ear and I, in turn, make them feel loved by God in some way.  That is hospitality to strangers. That is also exhortation.

For all of you Marthas out there, thank you from all of us Marys.  Thank you for your serving and hospitality.  For all of you Marys out there, thank you for your serving and hospitality as well! Both are needed.  Both are appreciated.


How do you practice hospitality?  When you examine it, do you see your other spiritual gifts surfacing? 

Ewww... Bug problem!

There were bugs in my bathroom!  

I kept noticing these little gnat like creatures on my mirror in the bathroom.  I would take a towel and kill them but the next time I went in there, there would be just as many as before ~ even more!

What in the world?  Where were these little buggers coming from?  It's not like I had tomatoes and fruit in the bathroom for them to be drawn to.  They kept showing up on the mirror.

I did notice that there was something a little different about these "gnats."  They had a little red on their head.  Soon I realized that they were baby flies!  Double EWWW!!  

My bathroom is clean!  Where could flies be nesting?  

Enter: Good ol' Google!  

Around here, I'm known as the Google Queen.  I can find just about anything on Google.  

So, I Google searched it and discovered that these little buggers weren't gnats at all.  They were baby flies.  Where do they live and how can I get rid of them?

Come to find out, they lay their eggs in your drain!  EWWWW!!  That's right ladies.  They are called "drain flys" or dare I say... "sewer flies."  Then, they hatch, fly out of your sink, and wind up congregating on the mirror!

The website said to dump drain cleaner down the drain and that takes care of the problem.  Simple solution to a very gross issue.

The question is, how many gross issues do we have in our lives?  Flies/issues just show up from what seems to be nowhere and cause problems.  The truth is, there lies a deep issue that we can't see from the outside.  

What do we see?  A cute little family.  A happy little marriage.  A clean house.  A landscaped yard with pretty flowers.  Oh, and let's not forget the ADORABLE little munchkins children!

But what's underneath all that pretty?  Where are those flies/issues coming from?  Everything looks so perfect on the outside but on the inside... there's discouragement, a lack of peace, no joy, frustration, a downcast soul.

God knows.  He sees deep down that drain/heart.  He knows exactly what eggs have been planted and are hatching in our lives.  ....and only He can take care of it!  He can go down deep, into the depths of our heart and soul and take care of all our gunk!  Even if it has been there for YEARS!

Let the Holy Spirit minister to you.  Let Him go deep into those dark places that never seem cleaned out.  He will do it.  Just ask!

Are You "Lucky?"

Lucky, now that's a word we often hear!  You lucky duck!  Wow! You got lucky on that one!  Yeah, if you were lucky you would have...

"Lucky" used to be a regular word in my vocabulary until I discovered what luck was and that it isn't for God's children!  You can't possibly be both "lucky" and "blessed."  Either good gifts come from God (James 1:17) or you are "lucky!"

What is luck?  I found it defined this way:  A series of happy accidents.

So, as Christians, children of the Most High God, are we correct in saying we are lucky or would our words be true if we said we are blessed?

I choose to be blessed by my Heavenly Father.  I do not choose "luck!"

It may be time to unwind!

I've met a lot of new people lately.  That in itself is a blessing!  Some of them are the laid back type and some of them were instant sisters! You know the ones... they say things like, "I just have to give you a big hug!" (I love that type.) Some of the people were hurting so badly that a simple prayer brought them to tears.  Yet, other people were wound tight!

I really felt sorry for the tight ones.  Their lives are a hurried mess, all good stuff of course, but they are tired.  You can see it in their eyes.  In a hurry, tired, and absolutely no passion.  I'm sure they HAVE passion for something, but because of the fast paced lifestyle that they live survive in, they are wound up tight!

Tight smiles, tight muscles, tight schedules, tight personalities...

I want to encourage you, to examine your life.  Are you wound up tight?  When people meet you are they welcomed with a warm personality, smile, or hug?  Or are they put off by a wound up lifestyle that overflows into your greeting?

Just because something is good, doesn't mean that you have to do it!  Make time for yourself, time to relax.  That is why God made the "Sabbath."  He knew it was important to take a WHOLE day and focus on Him, with Him.

Zooming ~ What's Important?

Ever wonder where they are going?

I watch as they speedily zoom by.

Do they know Him?

Why are they in such a hurry?

Do they know Him?

Ladies, it's time to slow down.  It's time to refocus.  It's time to prioritize.  What's important anyway?

I know people who zoom here, zoom there, and then zoom everywhere. They live their lives just speedily zooming around.  It's time to slow down.

I'm sure all that zooming you are doing is for very good reason!  But just because something is good, doesn't mean that you are the one to do it!

If you need help prioritizing, just ask God.  He is very skilled at taking things out of the way (especially if it is in His way).

He is a GREAT boss!

Who do you work for?  Where are you employed? 

Maybe... you are a stay at home mom / wife.  Maybe... you own a business and are your own boss.  Maybe... you have a boss that is full of himself or has a mean streak.

No matter who you collect your $paycheck$ from or are employed by, if you are a child of God, the Creator of the Universe is your boss! 

You are on mission for Him!  He will tell you what to do, when to do it and how to do it.  Some things He's already told you in Scripture other things He will lead you to and in. 

Just listen... 

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Colossians 3:23
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Meditation

How to meditate on the Word of God

Psalm 1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

We are told to meditate on the Word of God.  Some Christians instantly think that the word "meditate" is New Age religion BUT the Bible tells us to meditate on it's words.  (The enemy always tries to copy what originated with God!)  Don't let the world change what God has already spoken!

The words in our Bible are Jesus.  John 1:1, John 1:14

So, if meditating isn't sitting cross legged on the floor and saying, "Aaaahhh ooooommm..." while thinking of nothing and clearing our mind, then what is it?  How do we do it?

1.  Ponder the Word ~ think about it.  Let it go through your mind.

2. Muse it ~ Take in the Word, let it settle down inside of you, and at appropriate times you bring it back up again. (Maybe at night before bed.)  Let it stir in your heart and in your mind again.

3. Mutter it ~ You actually say it. Say it quietly to yourself. Mutter the truth that God is trying to plant into you.  (For example: a verse or part of a verse that pertains to your situation.) Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

We must change on the inside, not just our outward appearance.  Meditating on God's Word changes us on the inside.

Jesus is ALL powerful! God's Word is powerful; it WILL change your life!

Ever wonder about what God's name is?  You know that we have "Jesus."  You know that we have the Holy Spirit and then we have God the Father.  But did you realize that God actually has a name?

In Exodus 34:6, God descended in a cloud, stood by Moses, and then passed by him.  As He passed by He

"...proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth..."

In Hebrew (which is what most of the O.T. was written in) when it says "LORD" in all caps, that is actually "Yahweh."

So, God spoke His own name and proclaimed it to Moses!  How awesome is that?  Then, He described Himself and told of His attributes!

Oh, this is sooo exciting!  So, here is how it should read:

"And YAHWEH passed by before him, and called out, YAHWEH, YAHWEH, The Almighty One, compassionate and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in kindness and truth..."
