Ever kill a bug and feel guilty?

Now, I don't want a lecture that a bumble bee isn't a bug... Save that for my homeschool blog!

Hubs and I were sitting on the porch reading our Bibles and watching this bumble bee buzz around the bushes and bounce off of the house looking for a little hole that it lives in on the porch rail. (??)  It finally found it and I thought it would be funny to stick my pen in the hole and plug it up for a minute.  I shoved it in... I shouldn't have.

After I took it out, the injured bee fell out of the hole backward and started to struggle.  I instantly felt horrible! I didn't mean to!  I looked at my pen and it had clear liquid on it.  AWWWWW....

I went to the other side of the porch to look at the bee.  It was breathing heavy and buzzing a bit.  I looked even closer, it was rubbing it's tummy part.  Oh my.... my heart felt terrible! (still does)

All of a sudden another bee came buzzing by looking for his friend.  The injured bee must have sent out a distress signal.

I felt soooo bad!  Have you ever experienced anything like that?

I am afraid I am of the one less bug to worry about category, but I would have been more afraid that you would've gotten stung getting close to it as they retaliate in their pain. Sorry it was so traumatic.
Keep up the God work.
