Wonderful Women of God

I've got some very exciting news!  We are moving our church to another town. Ok, so, it's exciting for all of us here!  (I'll tell more about that in a different post.)

I sent this letter out to the women at our church and I thought you all may benefit from reading it!  ;)

Greetings ~ Wonderful women of __________  Church!

I just want to encourage you all today. You are all doing a wonderful job welcoming new women into the church. As we make the move to ________ and grow, more and more women will be looking for love and acceptance at _________ Church. The more we get to know each other, the more we realize that NOBODY is perfect. None of us have lived a "perfect" life. Because we are so open and loving, we are able to reach out to other women.

Since most of us have "been there done that" and have come out of our sinful lifestyles or have come out of a hurtful past, we can empathize with each other as well as the newcomers. We know what it's like and we can all help to lead the new women into the love and healing that only God can give. 1Jn 4:4.... "(You) have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world."

We need to remember that everyone (including ourselves) is on a different Spiritual level. That's fine, as long as we don't stay on that level and we are striving to move ahead with God. One person may be struggling with trying not to gossip, while another may have already gotten past that. One person may be struggling with trying not to nag her husband, while another may have already gotten past that. One person may be struggling with trying to stay away from drugs, partying,or having sex outside of marriage. There are plenty of people in our church who have conquered those very things. Phil 1:6........ "(Be) confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ..."

We can be there for each other and for the women who are on their way!

You've all done a great job rallying behind those in need! When someone needed money, it was there. When someone needed food, it was provided. When someone needed a listening ear, you were there. To my knowledge, gossip hasn't been an issue when people at __________ Church have had problems. That is awesome! Let's continue to lift each other up with Scripture, hugs, and encouraging words. Col 3:23...... "Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men..."

One more thing before I close. As new women come into the church, we need to remember to get out of our "circle of friends" and get to know the new ones. I love all of you and am grateful for the friendships with my sisters in Christ. We have PLENTY of love to go around! AMEN?

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

From your sister,
Janet
