There is a debate about which muscle in the human body is the strongest. Some say the jaw muscle and some say the gluteus maximus (rear end). Others say, relative to size, the strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.
I don't know the real answer to that question, but I do know that the tongue is VERY powerful! The Bible says that "Life and death are in the power of the tongue." (Proverbs 18:21) The New Living Version puts it this way: "The tongue can bring death or life."
This isn't exactly a popular subject for us WOMEN! LOL! When the subject of "taming the tongue" is brought up, there is an awkward silence and sometimes even some squirming! You know that squirm. It's similar to the one that happens when "submission" is mentioned!
Take a look at these ladies. Which one do you have more in common with? Which one do you have a tendency to be drawn towards?

These are some humorous examples but it is a serious subject. Taming the tongue and watching my words closely is something that I have to continuously work on! I choose to be like Eula, Carrol, Ingrid, and Helen!
