The 2 Espressos have been traumatized. We were at my parent's house which is in a rural subdivision. Nothing ever happens there. The sun was setting and the boys were outside in the front yard playing. They saw a teenager (a friend of the teen across the street) ride past them very fast. Espresso said hi but the boy looked straight ahead and ignored him.
Espresso then realized that the boy had rode out of another neighbor's yard on their bike. He stole it!! He went into their back yard and stole their racing bike. The 2 Espressos ran down to their friend's house and told them that someone just rode down the rode on their bike. The dad jumped in his car to try to find the kid.
Espresso is talking non stop about this. He is going over and over how unfair it is that someone works hard to earn money for something and then someone else just comes in and takes it.
I am so glad that he has witnessed this thievery and has been moved by it. I am so glad that they have been able to see things that aren't nice or are illegal (we saw a drug deal not too long ago) and are moved by how bad the acts truly are.
Boy, this sounds like we live in a really bad city. Not true. This kind of thing goes on all around everyone but not everyone sees it! So sad.
This verse is true: 1 Peter 5:8 Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour.
BUT, this verse is true too!!! Colossians 1:13 For He has rescued us from the one who has brought us into the kingdom of darkness, and He has brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
