Love's Immensity ~ Beautiful!

(View all of my posts on this book:  Love's Immensity )
I want to encourage you to read this book!  It is enlightening, deep, and beautifully written.  I am completely intrigued with Bertha Carr-Harris and can't find any info on her!

This is what I know:
Birth
Death
She was an author from Canada

That's it!  That's all I can find.  :(

Chapter 1 page 20-

“How beautiful is light!  How mysterious in its colours and warmth!  How gladdening!  How all-pervasive!  How pure!  How life-giving and healing!”
Bertha then goes off!  She tells about scientist and astronomers and their findings, about how awesome God is.  She tells about the stars and the sun.  I love it!  A woman in 1927 talking about scientific things like telescopes and billions of stars just cracks me up.  She mentioned a cube of sodium being made up of “molecules arranged in nine million layers, each layer containing nine million rows, and each row nine million molecules standing side by side or seven-hundred-and-twenty-nine quintillions of molecules.”  This woman was in awe of God!

She gets on her soapbox of creation vs evolution.  She quotes people like Darwin and H.G. Wells.  Basically, she says how stupid it is to believe in evolution (of course she says it much more eloquently than I) and that it takes more science to believe in a Creator!  You go girl!
Bertha Carr-Harris was a woman ahead of her time.

The Trinity in Light ~ Love's Immensity

View all of my posts on this book here:  Love’s Immensity by Carr – Harris 1927

I've decided to publish my notes on this book I am reading.  This woman was amazing!  I really like her writings, although, I can't find a single thing about her on the internet other than her books.  I'd really like to know SOMETHING about her other than her titles and when she was born and died!

My Notes:
Awesome quote: Page 16 “In the following pages…”  (Quote found here)
“The love that pours forth from His wondrous Name…”

Great quote about the fragrance of a flower pouring it’s scent out even while unappreciated in the darkness.  How absolutely beautiful! Page 16-17

Chapter 1
Love Omnipotent ~ Elohim ~ God the Creator
Elohim is the plural of El (God) ~ 2500 times in original Manuscripts
Often used as a plural with a singular ~ Let US (plural) make man in our IMAGE (singlular).  Genesis

TRINTIY:
FATHER:  Gen 1:2,3 The Spirit of Elohim (plural Gods) was moving over the surface of the waters. Then Elohim said, “Let there be light”

SON:  Eph 3:9 “…God who created all things”   (My note: Col 1:13-16)
John 1:3 ALL things came into being through Him

HOLY SPIRIT:  Job 26:13 “By His breath (ruach: wind((Spirit)) the heavens are cleared (garnished: brightness ((from to glisten)).

Light consists of 3 rays:
The first originates (invisible light~neither seen nor felt)
the second formulates (both seen and felt) illuminates or manifests
and the third consummates (not seen but is felt as heat).

God the Father - neither seen nor felt
God the Son - both seen and felt
God the Holy Spirit - not seen but is felt

God~ the Light of the World!!!

Hallelujah!

What is HE called?

Ever wonder where people get their "theories" on God?  Some people think that He's some sort of tyrant waiting to smash us!  Some people say some weird things about Him and call Him things like "the Man upstairs."

...but, what does God say?

God describes Himself in Exodus chapter 34.  In order to actually understand God, we must go to Him and His own words to see what He has to say about Himself.  That would be a good place to start, right?  LOL!

You can read the whole thing starting in verse 1 later.  I am going to focus on just a few.

Exodus 34:5-7
5 The LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him (Moses) as [c]he called upon the name of the LORD. 6 Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and [d]truth; 7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guiltyunpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

Now, I am going to break it down for you.

First of all, we need to know what God's name is!  He says it in the Hebrew manuscripts (God wrote the Old Testament in Hebrew).  Yahweh.  Yahweh is His name!  He tells us that in verse 6.  Anytime in the Old Testament you see the word "LORD" that is Yahweh!

So God Himself says, "Yahweh, Yahweh God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth..."

The word "compassionate" means:  womb love (the kind of love a mother has for the child in her womb ~ deep)

The word "gracious" means: favor (delight, acceptance, pleasure)

The word "lovingkindness" means: covenant love.  You can break your end of a covenant or agreement but He won't break His!!!!  He IS Love! (1 John 4:8)

So what is God saying?

My name is Yahweh and I AM God.  I am compassionate and full of deep, deep love for you.  I am gracious and full of favor, delight, acceptance, and pleasure.  I am the keeper of lovingkindness, the Covenant Love; the love that I won't break!

Hallelujah!!!!

Now, some people would choose to focus on the part of verse 7 that says, "...yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished..."  The problem with that is, we are NOT the guilty!!!!!!!  When we have accepted Jesus Christ and His forgiveness, our sins are GONE!  Amen!!  That means:  NOT guilty!  Woooohooo!!  (Romans 8:1)

So, since we are already found "NOT guilty" because of the blood of Jesus, lets choose to focus on the rest of what God says about Himself!

  • Compassionate
  • DEEP love
  • Gracious
  • Full of favor, acceptance, pleasure
  • The Keeper of Lovingkindness
  • The One who won't break His covenant with us
  • He IS love!

How does this make you feel?

The Name ~ Love's Immensity

I am reading a book entitled "Love's Immensity" by Carr-Harris (1927).  As he "unfolds God's revelation of Himself through His marvellous Hebrew Names" I am captivated to say the least.

(View all of my posts on this book here:  Love’s Immensity by Carr – Harris 1927)

There's just something about "the Name."  HaShem: The Name  The name that is above every name.  It draws me deep.  I want to know more.  Oh Spirit, draw me deeper into the Word.  Deeper.  Deeper as I dig in to your Hebrew language.

A beautiful quote to peak your interest:

"In the following pages, unfolding GOD'S revelation of Himself through His marvellous Hebrew Names, may be found the secret of heaven begun on earth, the love of a Father which comes to those who believe, in "overflowing fulness," the love of a Bridegroom-- the most intimate love conceivable--personal, private, intense, absolutely unselfish and always sweetly fresh--a love that delighted to make the largest possible sacrifice for us--that anticipated our every need and stored heaven and earth and land and sea with provision for us--a love that suffers keenly through a lack of responsiveness--a love that grows ever sweeter, fuller, deeper.  The love that pours forth from His wondrous Names is like the fragrance of flowers."

May you be filled with His love today.  May your heart know HaShem ~ The Name!

Sow a Seed for LIFE!

I am so excited to share with you this morning!  I was watching the 700 Club and they did a piece on Stanton Health Care in Boise, Idaho.

Stanton Health Care is right next door to Planned Parenthood!  That's right! And glory to God, some women and girls are going in there to get a free ultrasound because Planned Parenthood charges.  Lives are being saved and children are being born! AMEN!

That's the kind of place to sow a seed to!  ( http://www.stantonhealthcare.org/ )

You can watch the piece here and get inspired:

It may be time to unwind!

I've met a lot of new people lately.  That in itself is a blessing!  Some of them are the laid back type and some of them were instant sisters! You know the ones... they say things like, "I just have to give you a big hug!" (I love that type.) Some of the people were hurting so badly that a simple prayer brought them to tears.  Yet, other people were wound tight!

I really felt sorry for the tight ones.  Their lives are a hurried mess, all good stuff of course, but they are tired.  You can see it in their eyes.  In a hurry, tired, and absolutely no passion.  I'm sure they HAVE passion for something, but because of the fast paced lifestyle that they live survive in, they are wound up tight!

Tight smiles, tight muscles, tight schedules, tight personalities...

I want to encourage you, to examine your life.  Are you wound up tight?  When people meet you are they welcomed with a warm personality, smile, or hug?  Or are they put off by a wound up lifestyle that overflows into your greeting?

Just because something is good, doesn't mean that you have to do it!  Make time for yourself, time to relax.  That is why God made the "Sabbath."  He knew it was important to take a WHOLE day and focus on Him, with Him.

What's New at Everything Beautiful?

I am so excited!  (Nothing unusual for me...)  The ladies at church keep asking when are they going to get to see my jewelry.  Well, the time is almost here.  I am having my debut party in less than 2 weeks.  Am I ready for that?  Uhhhhh not yet but I will be.

I set some goals and made some lists and tomorrow I am sending out the invites.  Today, I printed a desktop calendar (I know it's paper.  Don't even go there!) and filled it in so I can get more focused.  You can see it here:  printable calendar.  On top of it all, I need to make some more jewelry!  LOL!  So get off this computer and get busy, girl!

I did have a HUGE order that I'll be finishing up in the next week.  A girl ordered 18 custom hand stamped necklaces for her MOPS group.  What a great gift and a wonderful way to end their season before summer.

Here is a sample of what I've done lately.  Make sure you get your order in for Mother's Day SOON!  It's sneakin up on us!

Zooming ~ What's Important?

Ever wonder where they are going?

I watch as they speedily zoom by.

Do they know Him?

Why are they in such a hurry?

Do they know Him?

Ladies, it's time to slow down.  It's time to refocus.  It's time to prioritize.  What's important anyway?

I know people who zoom here, zoom there, and then zoom everywhere. They live their lives just speedily zooming around.  It's time to slow down.

I'm sure all that zooming you are doing is for very good reason!  But just because something is good, doesn't mean that you are the one to do it!

If you need help prioritizing, just ask God.  He is very skilled at taking things out of the way (especially if it is in His way).

Love ~ We are a couple ~ yet we are one.

This is awesome!

I have found a WONDERFUL educational Passover Seder!  This guy is interesting and not boring at all.

Set 45 minutes aside and get ready to celebrate and learn about Jesus (Yeshua) in the Passover!  I can not stress to you enough, how RICH this is.

If it was important to Jesus (Yeshua Hamashiach) our Messiah, it should be important to us.

Hallelujah!  Please, let me know if you currently celebrate Passover or if you watch this video and have the desire to celebrate.

Saying it your way

Do you or someone you love have a favorite verse or saying?

I am so excited to show you my latest designs. Some of these are more casual for everyday wear. They are great examples of what you can have stamped on a design.

Pick out just about any design in my shop and tell me what you'd like stamped on it. I can personalize just about any piece for you!

Here are some of my latest designs. Do you like 'em?

Passover or Easter?

Haven't you ever wondered where Easter came from since Yeshua (Jesus) celebrated Passover?

I have read many articles and books (which are backed up by Scripture) on this subject and this video sums up what I found out to be true.  Not ALL of the facts are represented in this video but it does give you a good base.  Some of the facts that are not included would gross you out (like where dying Easter eggs came from).  You can google it if you are curious.

New Designs for Today ~ Everything Beautiful Handmade Jewelry by Janet

I would love to introduce to you today, the new series in my store! It is called, "Designs by Mr. Boy!" This is his debut of sorts!

That's right, Double Espresso is designing jewelry for men and teen boys. He loves doing it. Of course, like his mother's jewelry, Mr. Boy's jewelry will have a Christian message.

You can see his necklace in the list below. His is the black metal beads with the Christian fish charm.

FYI:
Both Mr. Boy and his mother tithe a full 10% and give an offering above and beyond the tithe to the needy.

;)

Amazing

Let us not be like the hypocrites~
Instead, I would like to be filled with the Spirit ~ Making good decisions ~ Walking the right path that God has made straight for me.

James 1:5-8 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
