Love's Immensity ~ Beautiful!

(View all of my posts on this book:  Love's Immensity )
I want to encourage you to read this book!  It is enlightening, deep, and beautifully written.  I am completely intrigued with Bertha Carr-Harris and can't find any info on her!

This is what I know:
Birth
Death
She was an author from Canada

That's it!  That's all I can find.  :(

Chapter 1 page 20-

“How beautiful is light!  How mysterious in its colours and warmth!  How gladdening!  How all-pervasive!  How pure!  How life-giving and healing!”
Bertha then goes off!  She tells about scientist and astronomers and their findings, about how awesome God is.  She tells about the stars and the sun.  I love it!  A woman in 1927 talking about scientific things like telescopes and billions of stars just cracks me up.  She mentioned a cube of sodium being made up of “molecules arranged in nine million layers, each layer containing nine million rows, and each row nine million molecules standing side by side or seven-hundred-and-twenty-nine quintillions of molecules.”  This woman was in awe of God!

She gets on her soapbox of creation vs evolution.  She quotes people like Darwin and H.G. Wells.  Basically, she says how stupid it is to believe in evolution (of course she says it much more eloquently than I) and that it takes more science to believe in a Creator!  You go girl!
Bertha Carr-Harris was a woman ahead of her time.

The Trinity in Light ~ Love's Immensity

I've decided to publish my notes on this book I am reading.  This woman was amazing!  I really like her writings, although, I can't find a single thing about her on the internet other than her books.  I'd really like to know SOMETHING about her other than her titles and when she was born and died!

My Notes:
Awesome quote: Page 16 “In the following pages…”  (Quote found here)
“The love that pours forth from His wondrous Name…”

Great quote about the fragrance of a flower pouring it’s scent out even while unappreciated in the darkness.  How absolutely beautiful! Page 16-17

Chapter 1
Love Omnipotent ~ Elohim ~ God the Creator
Elohim is the plural of El (God) ~ 2500 times in original Manuscripts
Often used as a plural with a singular ~ Let US (plural) make man in our IMAGE (singlular).  Genesis

TRINTIY:
FATHER:  Gen 1:2,3 The Spirit of Elohim (plural Gods) was moving over the surface of the waters. Then Elohim said, “Let there be light”

SON:  Eph 3:9 “…God who created all things”   (My note: Col 1:13-16)
John 1:3 ALL things came into being through Him

HOLY SPIRIT:  Job 26:13 “By His breath (ruach: wind((Spirit)) the heavens are cleared (garnished: brightness ((from to glisten)).

Light consists of 3 rays:
The first originates (invisible light~neither seen nor felt)
the second formulates (both seen and felt) illuminates or manifests
and the third consummates (not seen but is felt as heat).

God the Father - neither seen nor felt
God the Son - both seen and felt
God the Holy Spirit - not seen but is felt

God~ the Light of the World!!!

Hallelujah!

The Name ~ Love's Immensity

I am reading a book entitled "Love's Immensity" by Carr-Harris (1927).  As he "unfolds God's revelation of Himself through His marvellous Hebrew Names" I am captivated to say the least.

(View all of my posts on this book here:  Love’s Immensity by Carr – Harris 1927)

There's just something about "the Name."  HaShem: The Name  The name that is above every name.  It draws me deep.  I want to know more.  Oh Spirit, draw me deeper into the Word.  Deeper.  Deeper as I dig in to your Hebrew language.

A beautiful quote to peak your interest:

"In the following pages, unfolding GOD'S revelation of Himself through His marvellous Hebrew Names, may be found the secret of heaven begun on earth, the love of a Father which comes to those who believe, in "overflowing fulness," the love of a Bridegroom-- the most intimate love conceivable--personal, private, intense, absolutely unselfish and always sweetly fresh--a love that delighted to make the largest possible sacrifice for us--that anticipated our every need and stored heaven and earth and land and sea with provision for us--a love that suffers keenly through a lack of responsiveness--a love that grows ever sweeter, fuller, deeper.  The love that pours forth from His wondrous Names is like the fragrance of flowers."

May you be filled with His love today.  May your heart know HaShem ~ The Name!
