Does he want to go back?
The answer is YES!

Me with a sweet friend

My dad being door-man - saying goodbye as guests leave

BLESSED to be a blessing ~ Part 1

Blessings come to those who....

...do what God says.  It is awesome to obey our Father just because we love Him.  It makes us great children, obedient servants, righteous believers...etc.

However, God did set up His own rules.  (He can do that, you know.)  In the Bible, we often find the "If / Then Principle."  If we do this ______ then God will do this _____.  Sometimes the principle is based on blessing and other times it is based on suffering loss.

BLESSINGS VS SUFFERING LOSS  It's our choice!

Prov. 22:9 He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

Jer. 22:16 "Did not your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him. He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; then it was well. Is that not what it means to know Me?" declares the LORD.

Deut. 15:10. You shall give generously to [your poor brother], and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.
We are teaching our kids to give, give of themselves, give their money, give their time, give their talents ~ just give.

God is so good!  Who wouldn't want to do what He says and give?

Stay tuned for part 2!

It's Worth It

Who do you work for?  Where are you employed?

Maybe... you are a stay at home mom / wife.  Maybe... you own a business and are your own boss.  Maybe... you have a boss that is full of himself or has a mean streak.

No matter who you collect your $paycheck$ from or are employed by, if you are a child of God, the Creator of the Universe is your boss!

You are on mission for Him!  He will tell you what to do, when to do it and how to do it.  Some things He's already told you in Scripture other things He will lead you to and in.

Just listen...

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Colossians 3:23
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

What mission are you on for the LORD?

Pearly Gate - Joke

Have you experienced it?  God's Grace...
A man dies and goes to heaven. St. Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates and says, 'Here's how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in.'

'Okay,' the man says, 'I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart.'

'That's wonderful,' says St. Peter, 'that's worth two points!'

'Two points?!' he says.

'Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and service.'

'Terrific!' says St. Peter.. 'That's certainly worth a point.'

'One point!?!!'

'I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans.'

'Fantastic, that's good for two more points,' he says.

' Two points!?!!

'Exasperated, the man cries. 'At this rate the only way I'll get into heaven is by the grace of God.'

' Bingo ! 100 points ! Come on in!'

We often try to fix problems with WD-40 and duct tape.

America ~ Save the Hurting Child!!!

This is a ministry ran by Christian people who love God and love children. People, this is a sick, sick industry! You wouldn't believe how the bad guys get kids and what they do to them.

Jesus is THE answer!!!!!!!

You still here?

To celebrate Rosh Hashanah, we went to the church that we attend during the week.  It's a very large church and their Wednesday night services are PACKED out!  The preacher told about Rosh Hashanah and blew the shofar (ram's horn).

We prayed for forgiveness and praised God until the roof blew off!  No, just kiddin!  It was loud and awesome though!

Here is some more information on Rosh Hashanah:

Name meanings
Rosh Hoshanna (New Year)

Yom Teruah (The Day of the Awakening Blast or The Day of the Awakening Shout)
Feast of Trumpets Yom HaDin (Day of Judgment)
Yom HaZikkaron (Day of Remembrance)
Yom HaKeseh (Day of the Hiding or Hidden Day)

God's appointed times are marked by the moon cycles.  He created and organized everything for us!  Rosh Hashanah starts at sundown on the day of the new moon.  (That is also the beginning of the month of Tishri.)  One might think that you can see a new moon but the first two days are DARK! ~ Therefore, no one knows the time nor the day!

Pastor Mark Biltz is a GREAT teacher if you'd like to learn more about the feasts.  I have learned most of what I know about the feasts from Pastor Mark.

This video is Pastor Biltz talking about the rapture.

Feast of Tabernacles and Feast of Trumpets

9/8/10

Do you know what Rosh Hashana is? It starts tonight!

It is a true blessing to know and understand God's (Yahweh) appointed times.  It is a blessing to learn of the rich heritage Moses, Nehemiah, Ezra, Matthew, Luke, Paul, Jesus (Yeshua) and many others left for us.

Over and over God said, "It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations..." (Lev. 23)  In other words, celebrate it forever! How are we going to celebrate it forever if we don't learn about it?

The Biblical feasts are God's appointed times.  Often times, people want to call them "Jewish Holidays" but they are actually for all of God's people!!

These feasts or appointed times are very important to God.  All of the feasts (3 in spring, 1 Pentecost, and 3 in the fall) have been fulfilled except ONE!  Which one?  The Feast of Trumpets!  Rosh Hashana!

Why do you suppose the "Feast of Trumpets" hasn't been fulfilled?  Because Jesus/Yeshua hasn't raptured His church with the blowing of the trumpet!

Video:   What will it sound like? (I get sooo excited when I hear the blasts!)

"Rosh Hashanah occurs on the first and second days of Tishri. In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, literally, "head of the year" or "first of the year."  This name is somewhat deceptive, because there is little similarity between Rosh Hashanah, one of the holiest days of the year, and the American midnight drinking bash and daytime football game. "

"1. All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at Christ's first coming, and on the exact day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the second advent, and the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing the rapture.

2. The Feast of Trumpets is when the "last trump" of the rapture of 1 Cor 15 is blown.
3. The Feast of Trumpets is known as the Wedding of the Messiah, and the Church is the Bride of Christ, and the rapture is when the Church is caught up to heaven to be wed with Christ. "  Bible Prophecy

I do encourage you to learn more about the appointments that God has made with you!  If He thought it was important enough to celebrate them forever, then it's important enough for everyone to learn about!

Worry vs. Faith

Preach It Sista!

What are you getting out of "life"?  Is your life handing you a bunch of junk?  Maybe it's time to plant better seeds so that you will reap a better harvest.  Yes, it's going to take some time.  Yes, it is, most definitely, a LOT of work!  Is it worth it to you?

We want a strong move of God in our family, so we are planting to receive such a harvest.  We want God's blessings on our lives, so we are planting to receive such a harvest.  We want our boys to "rise above" so we are planting to receive such a harvest.

If you plant negativity, you WILL receive negativity.  If you plant goodness, you WILL receive goodness.  If you plant into the Kingdom of God, you WILL receive His riches.

Over and over in the Bible you find the "IF/THEN" principle.  IF you do this ____, then God will do this ____.   So many times we want God's this _____ without putting in our IF ____!!!!!

It doesn't work that way!  Work within God's ways and you will receive from Him.  If you try to work in what you think or feel, you will receive from someone other than God.

I WANT GOD'S BEST!!

I found a type of poem and thought I'd post part of it for you.

If you plant honesty, You will reap trust
If you plant perseverance, You will reap victory
If you plant hard work, You will reap success
If you plant patience, You will reap improvements
If you plant faith, You will reap miracles

But If you plant dishonesty, You will reap distrust.
If you plant pride, You will reap destruction
If you plant envy, You will reap trouble
If you plant gossip, You will reap enemies
If you plant sin, You will reap guilt

So be careful what you plant now,
It will determine what you will reap tomorrow,
The seeds you now scatter,
Will make life worse or better, your life or the ones who will come after.

You Reap What You Sew!!

My Heart Is Swelling

It seems that no matter where God has us, in a trial time or blessing time, He continues to bless us Spiritually.  I am soooo thankful for that.  We have been growing by leaps and bounds over the past 3 years especially.  Most of that time, we've been in trial mode!

My heart is swelling!  ~ No, not physically.

My husband is the pastor of _______ Church.  He preaches and I lead worship there.  That is where we pour ourselves out in ministry.  On Wednesdays and some Saturdays, we attend church at another church not too far away.  God has spoken to us there, we worship there, and it is just another extension of what we've done all week.  We are thankful to be able to "go to church" and worship together as a family.  When given the option, both of our children choose to go to church because they see the results of what God does when you give Him your all and THEY WANT IT!

This other pastor has been talking about the Rapture of the Church.  Double Espresso (11) has been quite moved during these sermons.  Thursday night, we were all watching TV together and my husband went into the kitchen to make popcorn.

DE looked at me and asked,
"Mom, what if you can't remember when you got saved?"

I told him that he better go talk to his Dad.
(I am the one who teaches them all day long and thought that Dad could handle this one!)

He did, and his Dad asked him some questions and DE decided to make sure he was born again.  Right there in the kitchen he broke down over his sin and cried out to God (literally).  He also decided that he'd like to be re-baptized so he will be doing that soon.

How precious!  God has moved miraculously in this little boy's life.  He has a huge plan for DE.  I can't wait to see what is waiting for him!

My heart is swelling with the Spirit of God!
